Machu Picchu

Everyone goes here. Or at least tries to. It is not about a bucket list though. Machupicchu is wrapped in spirituality and mysticism, culture and of course, breathtaking scenery! It is riddled with stories and theories and yet no one really knows the truth of its construction and existence!

So, Machu Picchu, yes the very same that’s on all those “bucket lists”, wasn’t really meant to be found. The Incans wanted it to be a secret in the fear that the Spanish would lay claim to it. And so they plotted and planned… to abandon it! And it sure worked! Well for a while at least! They say it was built as a sort of resort for the royals to escape busy Cusco life! Back then too eh! But then it is also said that it was part of a pilgrimage route that was left incomplete because the Spanish arrived. So yes, it is still wrapped up in mystery and intrigue, but is filled with energies that can spark you up! When you work your way to it, all of it, it takes your breath away, it strikes you with awe, it surprises and it leaves you speechless. In 2014, there was a French explorer who discovered a door that was not fond before. But the Government forbade its opening. Where does it lead? One can only speculate. Maybe it’s a portal to some place else? To a world within? Maybe the Incans didn’t really abandon the place? And when you walk around here, on these spiritually charged lands, you will realize how even a small pebble is sacred to the heirs of this wonderful culture. So you leave it there, as is.
