With reciprocity and the idea of Ayni tying this journey together, it is only natural to emphasize the commitment to having a lasting, holistic, positive impact on the environment and to the communities. Making greener choices in day-to-day routines at work and at home, and being highly committed to “not taking away” and “giving back” are necessary. While carbon-offsets and visits to remote areas add to the positivity, a deep understanding and acknowledgement of cultural sensitivity is imperative too. It is also important to be true partners to the communities we work with by providing income and assistance for them to develop in a natural way and integrating their activities accordingly so as to help them benefit from the development of responsible tourism too. On your journey of Ayni, in Peru, you will be contributing to various causes that our partners directly contribute to.
