Day 0 — Arrival at Kalukanda House
Settle Into Sri Lanka's Southern Coast
Arrive at Kalukanda House and take time to settle into your surroundings. Relax by the pool, wander through the tropical gardens, or simply unwind beneath the swaying palms.
As evening falls, embrace the slower rhythm of Sri Lanka's southern coast and prepare for the experiences that await over the coming days.
Day 1 — Wellness, Tea & Reconnection
Morning | A Mindful Start to the Day
Begin your journey with a personalised yoga session in the garden shala, surrounded by birdsong and lush greenery. Guided by experienced instructors, the practice is tailored to your individual needs and concludes with a relaxing meditation.
Afterwards, enjoy a freshly prepared Sri Lankan breakfast showcasing local flavours and ingredients.
Afternoon | Discover Sri Lanka's Tea Heritage
Travel inland to Handunugoda Tea Estate, one of the few plantations in the world producing the renowned Virgin White Tea.
Explore the estate with a local guide, learn about traditional tea production methods, and discover the fascinating story behind this family-run plantation. The experience concludes with a tea tasting featuring some of Sri Lanka's finest teas.
Evening | Relax at Leisure
Return to Kalukanda House and enjoy a peaceful evening surrounded by nature. Relax by the pool, savour dinner, and settle into the tranquil atmosphere of the property.
Day 2 — Wildlife & Deep Relaxation
Early Morning | Safari in Udawalawe National Park
Depart before sunrise for one of Sri Lanka's most rewarding wildlife experiences.
Travel through the countryside to Udawalawe National Park and embark on a guided safari in search of wild elephants, buffalo, crocodiles, eagles, and a remarkable variety of birdlife. Along the way, witness the beauty of the landscape as the morning light spreads across the park.
A visit to the nearby elephant transit centre offers the opportunity to observe rescued elephant calves being cared for before their eventual return to the wild.
Afternoon | Restore Mind & Body
Return to Kalukanda House for a restorative afternoon.
Enjoy a swim beneath the canopy of tropical trees before experiencing a deeply relaxing massage designed to soothe tired muscles after the morning's adventure.
Evening | Sound, Stillness & Reflection

Day 3 — Lakes, Birdlife & Local Landscapes
Morning | Exploring Koggala Lake
Set out with a naturalist guide on a peaceful boat journey across Koggala Lake.
Navigate through mangrove forests, observe abundant birdlife, and learn about the ecosystems and traditions that have shaped this unique landscape. Along the way, visit a serene island monastery and experience a glimpse into Buddhist monastic life.

Continue your exploration with a guided cycling experience through local villages, tea estates, and paddy fields.
